The holidays are about meaningful connections, giving back to the community, and enjoying good food. But let’s be honest—it’s also a busy time, with packed schedules and endless to-do lists. The one thing we often forget? Taking a moment to pause.
This holiday season has been a little different for Nick and me. Despite our busy schedule and running the cafe, we’ve prioritized finding small ways to slow down—something we didn’t allow ourselves when we first became business owners. Sometimes it’s a walk around Long Point, and other times it’s watching a cheesy Christmas movie.
Taking time for yourself is a non-negotiable. Whether it’s an extra hour to listen to a podcast, catch up with a friend, take a walk, or sip your coffee (slowly), these moments refuel us and make us happier.
